I was born in Huntingdon on the 30th July 1987 but Peterborough is my home. Born into a musical family, I started playing the drums at an early age and played a few performances for school. Some years later, I picked up the guitar and we fell in love. I literally played and played and learnt every song I could. I joined my first band at the age of 16 and played the local gig circuit. I then went on to study Music Performance at Peterborough Regional College. By this time I had learnt the Bass guitar to a proficient level. I played regularly with college students and performed to larger audiences than I had done previously. I learnt about the music industry, music theory, MIDI programming, microphone techniques, improvisation, singing and keyboard skills.
My father and I have recently writen and performed a short piece of music for a youtube show named UFOPlanet which has just had over 1 million viewers since its launch.I love all types of music, rock, reggae, funk, blues, latin, pop, soul, ska, punk and acoustic. Since around 2004 I have taught guitar to different ages and musical abilities and I still enjoy giving knowledge of what I have learnt and passing it on like the olympic torch. My father and Paul started a couple of jamming sessions in the early days and had a different guitarist working with them but they felt he wasn't quite what they were looking for. I made myself available and the first session we had together, I put the guitar track down for Memphis. This was quite a challenge for me at first because I had never played or particularly listened to country music before. Slowly but surely, my knowledge and understanding of improvisation techniques I had learnt at college paid off.
